Abstract:
This work presents the development of a numerical method for simulating complex physical processes occurring during Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) — one of the most promising techniques in powder metallurgy, combining rapid electric heating, mechanical pressing, and consolidation of granular materials. The main result of the study is the development and implementation of the Method of Movable Control Volumes (MMCV) — a novel approach that unites the advantages of discrete and continuum modeling methods.
