Реферат:
Causes for unstable large and small waves arising in a weld zone during explosive welding are investigated. Such waves arise in the case where a flyer plate has regions with a small (10–16%) but abrupt (stepwise) change in thickness in the form of grooves resulting from mechanical treatment. Unstable waves in the vicinity of steps are formed only if the width of a groove is greater than the thickness of a flyer plate. If grooves are located on a base plate, then no unstable waves arise. It is shown by the analysis of the experimental data that the size of the waves generated in bimetal in the vicinity of the steps on the flyer plate is affected by a sharp change in the collision angle associated with inflection of the plate at the places of the steps.
