Abstract: The problem concerning rotational oscillations of a heterogeneous solid body having an arbitrary “smooth” shape in an ideal liquid in the presence of gravity force is considered in the paper. New hydromechanical effects are discovered: a stable equilibrium position of the body changes due to the redistribution of the body mass, while the cyclic oscillation frequency remains constant; and, vice versa, the cyclic oscillation frequency of the body changes, while the stable equilibrium position remains constant.
