Abstract:
The paper determines the energy conditions of the laser welding to produce weld joints free from external defects based on a basic titanium alloy and aluminum alloys, containing magnesium and copper cas basic alloying elements. The fracture microstructure of heterogeneous weld joints has been studied in order to understand the role of copper and magnesium. It is demonstrated that usage of copper-containing aluminum alloy in the process of heterogeneous materials permits increasing the strength by 2.5 times in contrast to the magnesium-containing aluminum alloy.
