Abstract:
The technological test bench has been developed and manufactured to perform the laser welding with a filler wire. Effective control of the laser radiation characteristics has been researched, and the methods of the optimal supply of the laser beam into the welding zone of the alloy 1420 with the filler wire AMg6 have been found. The optimal modes of the laser welding with and without wire have been found; they provide the X-shaped butt-end defect-free welded joint. The mechanical characteristics have been measured, the microstructure of the resulting welded joints has been studied.
