Abstract: We consider the equations of a multivelocity model of a binary mixture of viscouscompressible fluids (the two-fluid medium) in the case of one-dimensional barotropic motions. Weprove the time global existence and uniqueness of a strong solution to the initial-boundary valueproblem describing the motion in a bounded space domain.
